Infiltrator

During and after the first play session on Monday, I received plenty of helpful feedback about issues and game mechanics. I fixed a ton of problems and inconveniences in the gamemode and have yet to test any of them. One bug already came up when two random players joined and tried to use one of the new features, so I fixed that as soon as I noticed it.

The Big Apple

I also worked on a few things related to The Big Apple, which launches next month. The first thing is an integral part of how the server will function, which is server ports. Server ports will allow you to step into a tunnel and be transported to another of the three servers. The second has to do with how players’ names are displayed in chat in OOC versus in any other in-character chat: OOC names are colored based on the player’s Steam ID while IC names take the set player color.

STA On-the-Go

I love annoying my friends so I made a new feature for STA On-the-Go that allows me to post a reaction video from a small library of reaction videos I’ve assembled over the months. I’ve already gotten plenty of use out of it.

Tale of Flocksworth

I continued on the feature placement from last week, this time actually placing something. I now spawn temporary flag props in the “middle” of the “feature zone” that will be replaced with interesting things like loot barrels or one-off buildings later.
