Week of August 25, 2025

GetSoundscapeFn

I finished up the soundscape binary module from last week using ancient knowledge from two or three years ago. The issue I had on Linux was due to the entity data being in a different place than it is on Windows, so I had to learn a few fun tools to figure it out.

STAGE 3

Most of the rest of the week was working down the list of things I had to do before STAGE 3’s release. This was essentially all just core gamemode functions and trying to test things *before* the release, but there’s only so much I can do by myself. That being said, I’m pretty sure I thought of everything that could go wrong and took steps to prevent it, but we’ll see when STAGE 3 launches tomorrow!

Tale of Flocksworth

I barely did anything with ToF this week. I took a quick look at how I want to approach turning dwarf towns into forts and ran into an interesting case where there was a dwarf town in the same panel as a full town. Other than that, I think I need to sit down and make a short-term roadmap for what to do next, because I’m just not sure right now.
