The Big Apple

I worked on a bunch of different things for The Big Apple this week. First up was a continuation from last week. Server ports now spit you out at the corresponding tunnel on the target server. I also greatly improved the chat routing system I made three months ago, converting it from short-polling to WebSockets. Finally, I made the beginning of a phone weapon and a feature where you can perma-kill your character after you’ve died. The Big Apple is the primary reason I started STAG Servers in the first place, so I think I’m going to reveal it in detail a week in advance to try to build hype.

Tale of Flocksworth

I was going to work on loot containers like chests and barrels but quickly realized I didn’t have a good way to make them. I made some major changes to how entity classes are structured to take greater advantage of inheritance and it looks like I didn’t manage to break anything. Woohoo!
