Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on SweptForums. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Intent to Contribute

    1. If you sign up on SweptForums, it will be assumed that you have the full intent to participate and contribute to community discussion. This includes, but is not limited to, respectfully engaging in conversation, giving constructive criticism instead of raw insults, and following the rules. If you consistently show signs of trolling or punishment-baiting, you will simply be punished. #
  2. Respect

    1. Respect all other users on the forums. You may not agree with someone or like what they've posted, but treat everyone with respect. We'd like everyone to feel welcome here. #
    2. Do not harass any other user. Don't follow them around to everything they post and insult them, and don't hold a grudge against people because of one opinion they had. #
    3. Do not threaten any other user with any sort of physical violence, information leaking, hacking, or anything that may make a user reasonably uncomfortable. Also as implied, do not actually carry out any of the aforementioned activities. #
  3. Spam

    1. Do not spam in any thread. Spam includes but is not limited to rapidly posting for no reason, sending messages with no additional content, "shitposting," sending copypastas, and flooding. It's annoying and is a pain to look at. #
    2. Do not advertise any sort of unrelated products or services. If you wish to advertise something of yours that costs money - such as commissions - please post in the format of "if you are interested, contact me" instead of giving a direct link or price menu of sorts. #
  4. Common Sense

    1. Use common sense. Just because a rule isn't specifically listed here, that doesn't mean that it's completely okay. Staff is allowed to use their discretion to reasonably punish anyone they believe has intent to break rules. If you believe you were unjustly punished, email me at im(at)sweptthr(dot)one. #
    2. Don't try to exploit the rules to find loopholes. Again, just because a rule is not explicitly stated, doesn't mean it can't be enforced. Loophole-ing will be treated as having no intention to contribute in the community. #
  5. ToS and PP

    1. As you are required to agree to the Terms of Service upon registration, you will be punished if you break the Terms of Service as well. If you have conveniently forgotten these terms, you may view them here. #
    2. As you are also required to read the Privacy Policy upon registration, if you do not agree with the terms of the policy, your only option is to not use our forums. If you've conveniently forgotten the terms of the Privacy Policy, you may view it here. #
